I want to see some old posts of mine, but when I go to the archives, only one page of "hits" comes up, tho it shows links to 15 pages.
When I click on any of the other numbered pages (e.g., 5 or 13, etc), it comes up saying, "Sorry no posts" or whatever.
Also when I go through my profile and click on "see all the posts by this member" the same thing happens. I only get one screen of results and the links don't work.
I'm using Safari browser (for macs), but I tried it on firefox, too and it didn't work.

I noticed the same thing. Only the first page of hits is accessible.

I think I see what you mean. Are you logged in over there? It works correctly for me when I am.

Logging in did not work for me. For example, I just logged in and searched for EmJay as author. There are supposedly six pages of results, but I can only access the threads on the first page. If I click on the "goto" numbers at the bottom of the page or on "next" it says "no topics or posts meet your search criteria."

OH,
I have this problem periodically; sometimes it works with Firefox, then it doesn't. Just now I had to use IE which I hate. It doesn't work for me with Opera either.

I can't get into posts beyond the first page either I usually rack my brains for keywords that might be there and hope it comes up. I usually have to try several different searches to find the one I want.

I don't have IE and this site (BPDR main) works fine on Safari. I could try downloading IE and see, tho I guess.
Admin, what could be the problem?
I am not searching for a particular post, I would like to have access to all of my posts. I have had this problem in the past, but never brought it up as an issue because it didn't really matter. Right now it kinda matters to me.
Thanks

Oceanheart, I have IE and am getting the same problem you describe.
With any type of a search, the first page of results works fine, and clicking the link for a post gets me the post; but if I try to access any other page of search results (from the number links or "next" link at the bottom of the search results list), I get "No topics or posts met your search criteria"
This happens with all types of searches: the "search" link; the "View posts since last visit", "View your posts", and "View unanswered posts" links; and viewing an individual users post history through the link in their profile.
(Okay, I'm a geek... I checked this out just because of curiousity about the problem, not a desire to look at old posts. )

This sort of problem is very unlikely to be a browser issue.
I don't have any more time to look at it until tomorrow, and I don't know if it will be immediately fixable, or even if I'll be able to fix it at all. Oceanheart, I might be able to help with your short-term problem, if you can give me some more idea of what you want to do (I know you want to "have access to all of your posts" but if you can tell me more, I may be able to help you sooner). Send me a PM if you like.
