I accept that the way I tend to think about things is twisted. I accept that if I am aver going to have peace of mind and healthy relationships then I am going to have to change the way I think. Iaccept that this is going to be difficult and that at some point I will want to give up. I accept that I have bpd. I accept that people do recover, and that I can recover.
But I have trouble accepting positive things about myself. I accept that I have low self esteem and I need to work on it.
Any helpful suggestions?

I know it feels silly, but affirmations really do work. Everytime you catch your thoughts putting you down, think the opposite.
"Man, that was a dumb thing to do.:
replace with
"I could have done that better, but it doensn't make me a dumb person."
I suck
I am not perfect, but I'm getting better.
Just replaceing the twisted negative with positive thoughts go a long way.
