It seems that there are times when an SQL error comes up while trying to post. The content of the post may preview just fine but then error during the Submit phase.
The SQL error appears to be the result of copy/paste or certain keyboard settings.
It is best to type your post directly into a post/reply box on the board. If you need to copy/paste data from another source, you run the risk of punctuation becoming distorted, causing the SQL error. If you've copied/pasted data from another source outside of the board, please select all of the data in your post/reply box and copy it before attempting to submit your post. If you get the SQL error, you will be able to use your browser's Back button, paste the post content back into the post/reply box, edit and try again.
When in doubt, erase and re-type in the post/reply box any and all punctuation. Usually the " and , marks are the most noticeable as being slightly off however it's best to address ALL non-directly-typed punctuation in this manner, even if the ? and - and ! and . don't look different or odd.
The original text being copied from another source:

Gets pasted into a BPDR post/reply box:

With the punctuation deleted & rekeyed:

Then it will post correctly, without an SQL error - at least in my experience.
"I get this," Clinton said. "My view is ... why say, ever, anything bad about a person? Why don't we like them and celebrate them and be happy for her elevation to the ticket? And just say that she was a good choice for him and we disagree with them?"
